Are You Willing To Subject Yourself?

 

The availability of a safe and effective vaccine as protection for COVID-19 is well-recognized as an additional tool to control and can contribute to minimize the effects of the pandemic. Now, if given the chance, will you subject yourself and willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination?  While some people are not sure if they will receive the vaccine or not due to the possible effects that can occur which are potentially harmful and quite alarming, WHO is working to ensure the safety and efficacy of all the candidate vaccines as they all have the chance of being tested and undergo initial stage of development. And that they ensure the safety of children and their families as its highest priority, so that means that the delivery of these vaccines must be safe as well.

The Russian Health Ministry announced that Sputnik V is 92 percent effective. Even though its figure was controversial as it was approved for the distribution despite the fact that it was being tested in a small group of people, Sputnik V is completely safe according to late stage trial data published in The Lancet involving 20,000 people.  This is now considered to be as one of the world's most capable Covid-19 vaccines with an efficacy of 91.6 percent and was closely matching those controversial initial estimates. Moreover, based on the data provided by the manufacturer of the Astrazeneca-Oxford vaccine or so called AZD1222, it has shown to be 63% effective in an ongoing large-scale clinical trial. Indeed, for many people, seeing the efficacy rate of these vaccines would delight their withered hopes. To open and to pave the way of approval to the confused people who are afraid to take the vaccine. The use of these vaccines would somehow be the first step towards achieving and going back to our normal lives.

Whilst many people are still in doubt on its effectiveness, these vaccines have major positive impact to the whole world. The dangers and negative news about these vaccines are quite alarming, have been reported and engraved on our minds; it is now time to change the flow of the world.  Where we don’t need to focus only on the negative side but to focus seriously on what’s the best that awaits us, and that is the most important.
